Description meta tag answers the search engine what your page is all about if it asks a question to webpage “Who you are , buddy ? “  , just kidding . Google works on a specific algorithm such that if ever a description is poorly written it just replaces its own details of what rests on the page. Thereby , a good description is indeed important than Google's hand-outs in our webpage.

An empty description is often filled by search engines as according to their version .Use of single quote is prefered  (‘ ’) as double quote(“ ”) may cut off your description likely .

The only search engine that looks at the keywords anymore is Microsoft's Bing – and they use it to help detect spam. We highly recomend not to use keywords .
